Please Note
1. Temporal Coverage
This application displays maps of Huntsville going all the way back to 1837 and has at least one map from every decade beginning in 1860s.
2. Spatial Coverage
Many of these map datasets only cover small portions of the county. For example 1837 only covers "downtown" Huntsville. Other datasets (like USGS Quad Sheets) cover the entire metropolitan area. While Huntsville is the focus of this application it also displays maps of Athens, New Market, New Hope, Gurley and Madison.
3. Map Scales
Only large scale maps are available in this application. Small scale maps have been made available via the City of Huntsville's
Data Depot application.
